John Clark Motor Group is currently recruiting for a Finance and Insurance (F&I) Sales Development Manager to cover our full dealership network across Scotland. Reporting to the Group Finance and Insurance Director, you will work closely to support, guide, and coach colleagues who sell regulated finance and insurance products. Your role will focus on enhancing performance while ensuring all sales comply with JCMG processes and FCA guidelines.

As an F&I Sales Development Manager, you will act as a mentor for Business Managers/Sales Controllers (or finance and insurance sellers) and support the wider management team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. You will be responsible for guiding the group in growing its finance and insurance performance while ensuring maximum profitability.

To succeed in this role, you must have an in-depth understanding of our brands and the funding requirements of our customers. You will regularly review and analyse dealership performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements or interventions where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coach sales colleagues across the group to improve F&I performance
  • Ensure all financial and insurance product regulations are adhered to, following FCA guidelines and treating customers fairly principles
  • Identify and implement solutions for sales process issues at individual and dealership levels
  • Monitor finance and insurance performance against budget and address shortfalls
  • Support Heads of Business and General Managers in managing regulated sellers
  • Work with management teams to coach and develop the skills of sales teams to achieve business objectives
  • Set performance improvement plans and follow up in a structured manner
  • Monitor performance, measure outcomes, and provide regular feedback to management
  • Support new starters in regulated finance-selling roles

About You:

  • Experience in a regulated finance management environment
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be comfortable travelling across our full dealership network
  • Ideally, experience in finance and insurance within a motor group or finance company
