Role of IT Field Engineer
To manage and support the Group IT Infrastructure Including:
- Technical Driver and Systems Implementer
- Provide onsite support and maintenance for IT equipment and services
- Onsite Installation, Maintenance and Support for IT Equipment
- Fault Finding and Remote Support for IT Service Desk Team
- Support for Mobile Devices, PC’s, Laptops, Phones
- Onsite point of contact for 3rd party suppliers
- Assisting with New Site Setup and Infrastructure Implementations
- Providing local point of contact onsite for IT
Objectives and Key Tasks for IT Field Engineer:
- Delivery and Installation of PCs, Workstations, Laptops, Tablets, Mobile and Phones
- Basic onsite fault-finding for Group IT Service Desk
- Onsite diagnostic of Hardware, Network, WIFI and Infrastructure Faults
- Co-ordinating all onsite repairs with suppliers reducing downtime
- Supporting workshop diagnostic Laptops with Manufacturer Support Desks
- Onsite Support for Microsoft Office and Windows Desktops
- Ability to work on own Initiative and prioritise work under pressure
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on IT Issues and identify service improvements
- Good Interpersonal skills - working with 3rd party suppliers
- Regular Travel between sites - full driving licence required
Key Skills IT Field Engineer:
- Basic IT Technical Knowledge/Interested in IT is essential
- Good Fault-Finding Skills is an essential skill
- Able to work Remotely under Supervision
- Able to follow procedures and processes
- Good Knowledge of PC Hardware, Mobile Devices, Office Software and WIFI Fault Finding is preferred
- Worked in remote role previously working on own initiative is preferred
- Clean Driving Licence is Essential
