Are you a tech enthusiast with a passion for problem-solving and a drive to learn? John Clark Motor Group is looking for an ambitious IT Field Service Technician (Apprentice) to join our dynamic Group IT team.

The Role

This isn't just a "fix-it" job—it’s the starting grid for a long-term career. As the face of IT for our dealerships, you will bridge the gap between our remote ServiceDesk and physical showroom operations, ensuring our teams have the technology they need to deliver exceptional service.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Field & Onsite Support: Deliver responsive IT support across our Scottish dealership locations. You’ll install hardware (PCs, laptops, mobiles), diagnose Wi-Fi issues, and act as the key IT contact for site staff.
  • ServiceDesk & Remote Support: Provide 1st line support via the ServiceDesk, troubleshooting incidents and managing tickets within agreed SLAs.
  • Infrastructure & Systems: Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and specialist automotive tech like workshop diagnostics and showroom displays.
  • Asset Management: Build and deploy IT equipment, ensuring all assets are tracked and documented throughout their lifecycle.

Work Pattern & Travel

  • Hybrid Balance: 4 days based on-site or travelling to showrooms across Scotland; 1 day working from home.
  • On the Road: Regular travel is a core part of this role, providing variety and the chance to work across our diverse portfolio of brands.
  • Flexibility: Occasional out-of-hours work may be required to support major projects or site upgrades.

What We’re Looking For

  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential): You must be comfortable with regular travel across Scotland.
