Your Role:

As a Vehicle Preparation Technician/Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for preparing vehicles to a high retail standard, carrying out repairs, and ensuring they are showroom-ready. Your varied duties will include:

  • Vehicle Condition Appraisals – Ensuring all cars meet quality standards
  • Road Testing Vehicles – Guaranteeing performance and safety
  • Repairs, Rectification, and Diagnostics – Keeping vehicles in top shape
  • Ordering Parts, Tyres, and Consumables – Ensuring efficient workflow
  • Coordinating Offsite Repairs – Liaising with external partners when required
  • Aftersales & Warranty Support – Ensuring smooth aftercare processes

What You’ll Bring:

  • Previous experience in vehicle repairs within a motor showroom
  • Level 2 Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance – Essential for this role
  • Multi-skilled capabilities – With a strong focus on vehicle prep and repair
  • Attention to detail – Consistently delivering high-quality results
  • Basic electrical and diagnostic repair experience (desired but not essential)
  • Reliable, hardworking, and energetic – With excellent organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence – Required for road testing vehicles
